The Ghost Corps

They Who Cast
No Shadow

Founded by J.D. Baker in the closing days of the Great War, the Ghost Corps consists of a unique body of men of adventure who have taken upon themselves the dangerous avocation of preventing the next great war through whatever means necessary. To date this has included simple espionage and crytographic transmission, to undercover infiltration of groups throughout the Far and Middle East.

Calling their work "freelance diplomacy" the members of the Corps are identified by their two digit Corps number, the brand placed high on the left rib during their initiation, and their greeting , "I am one from the tomb who casts no shadow." The corps seldom operates in groups over five in number, but they often function alone or in pairs.

In the mid to late 1930s the members of the Corps are heavily concnetrated in Spain, Portugal, Egypt and the Far East and have forged an alliance with Nick Carter's Atlas Club. Baker has confided in some that he feels the fight is too large and that a new world war is ineveitable, but they can work to shorten its length through intelligence gathering and encouraging new technologies.

By their existance, the Ghost Corps and Atlas Club have created opponents within the native rebellions, nationalist movements and fascist heirarchies. They may soon find their favorable relationship with the US and European democratic governments endangered through the actions of their new opponents.

The CD from the GM includes 13 episodes of the 1930s radio
serial "The Ghost Corps", on which the group is based.
